ming chu in Bangkok

Hi, guys! As I promise, I will show the photos that I took in Bangkok. (For your information, I went to Bangkok at Labours day. That’s way to treat myself.)

Since it is happen way back ago, I try to remember things that happen.

Bangkok airport is very much bigger than us and so much longer. Just imagine there are escalators, not for going up but just to reach the other end.
Almost everywhere you could see the ‘kulit wayang’ puppets. (Their symbols) But the face expression is not as fierce as the “wayang kulit” one.

On the way to the hotel, I manage to notice that most of the cars on the road are Toyota. (Ps no proton there. I saw none. I expect there are Savvy cars driving around since they say it is quite popular. Tssk…disappointed) their taxis are noticeable as they are in bright pink, yellow, blue and green and it is also Toyota….

From the airport to the hotel, we have to travel almost half an hour. No traffic jam, it just the airport is located at the outskirt or the hotel is.

Lot of overhead bridge are built. Funny thing was the pillars that support the bridge are in the river or lake. Wouldn’t the steel get rust? Sometimes, you could find children playing soccer under the bridge. It is legal to play there as the goal posts are set up nicely. (A way to utilise place, unlike us, grow plants which eventually will die as lack of sunlight.)
The buildings at outskirt are not as tall in Malaysia.
Even the flats are only three floors high and they are built very close to the bridge.

In towns, you could also find place like Bintang Walk. The shopping malls are like pavilion those types. Classy and expensive. It is the “mah salleh” hang out area. Guess what, the famous “four faces” Buddha are also located there.

Their menus in McDonald are different from us. Else the fried, unhealthy food, they serve cakes. I wanted to snap it down to show you guys but they stop me. Too bad!

The common shops you could find are ‘Robinsons’. Not much retail shops, only Carrefour.

Lots of foods I tasted. Most of the dishes are very spicy, sour and Sweet! Imagine this, they add sugar in the fried rice. (Taste very weird) The way of cooking are limited, fried and grill, most of the time.

A must try dish is the mango with glutinous rice add with santan. It is their specialty. The month of May is mango season so the mango tastes real good. Don’t buy Nescafe 3 in 1 coffee or others coffees cause it taste real plain. Flat! No coffee aroma.

To buy food in food court, you have to buy prepaid card, just like the Hong Kong Octopus card. There is an ice-cream I ate that brag that it wouldn’t fall from the cup when it is in the upside down. (Just believe it, I didn’t experiment it.) Most important thing is it tastes good.
