Pictures: Badminton, PM9

As promised, I've posted the pics here...

Oh, and, its Rocmond's birthday!!!!! Happy Birthday, baby Rocmond!!!

I'm beat. Really, I am. (And not to mention my hand hurts, no thanks to Jon...more bout that later...)

Ok firstly, having skipped Taekwando training for several weeks, I returned to class utterly rusty and slow...not up to standard as a black belt at all...(teacher did NOT hesitate to inform me that...hehe...) Not to mention that nasty kick I got in the ribs that's still throbbing...

Anyway today, I was practically dragged out of bed this morning to go for piano class, which I had rescheduled to 7.30am to accommodate my badminton game with the band later on. Again, I realised how long it has been since I've played badminton...Since October last year, in fact...Man, I'd better buck up or I'll lose all my reflexes and get thrashed during the next sparring, whenever that is...

Kok Hong couldn't make it in the end, as his car broke down...*sigh*...It ended up with just Wyhow, Lixian, Kimberly, Yi Qing, and me in the badminton court. As predicted, I was well and thoroughly thrashed by Wyhow, and by the end of 1 1/2 hours, I was drenched in sweat...

It was awesome to reconnect with the band, though. Credits to Wyhow for organising it, and to Xian, Kim, Qing for taking the initiative and time to come. Its where your priorities lie, and I'm touched that the band ranks high enough that they did their best to come, not missing it for other trivial matters. As I've always said, its the band spirit that matters; that we still acknowledge and celebrate the bond we share and those cherished memories we had through every performance...Octaves ROCKS...haha...

With my SS buddies around, no way I'd miss snapping a few photos with them...

Lixian and I in the badminton court

Talk about exercise...Its been ages since I got such a good run...

The band...I love you guys...

Lixian and I bathed in Jaya Square itself before we left; Xian to college to practise DANCING (ROFL....XD) and me to SPCA. Brought Junior along as well, as it was time to get him neutered.

Speaking of neutering, yes, NEUTER YOUR PETS, guys!!! You have NO IDEA how big a difference you'll make in reducing the amount of homeless pets on the street just by neutering your dog/cat. (trust me, I've seen the statistics...)

Ee Lynn came as well, meaning I did get to go dog-walking...Finally...I REALLY REALLY missed doing that. Out of the few we walked, one batch was entirely problematic, with one walking too slow, the other trying to shove her head under the other dogs' (and humans') bellies and legs, and one more lying down every step of the way. Poor fellows...Hopefully by taking them out and getting them accustomed to walks, their chances of adoption will be higher.

Oh, and now that I remember, to the few who have been debating and interrogating me about killer Rottweilers, German Sheperds and Pit Bulls, let me clarify that there is NO DOG that is born lethally aggresive, or mortally terrified or whatever. All these undesirable traits arise through their BAD EXPERIENCES in life, as well as the way they've been handled before. Again, the fault lies not with the animals, but with whoever that caused them to be that way.

Later, we washed the Cat Area and after Ee Lynn left, I hung around to help with adoptions and surrenders (as usual, there were plenty). Oh yes, the husky mix, Jon, was adopted today and when I took him out, he dragged me off my feet, causing me to fall heavily on my right arm. My shoulder, and my wrist is throbbing....................

Pam looks good, doesn't she?

In mom's office at the moment, enjoying the ultra fast Internet...but I kinda want to go home...There're stains of dog poo on my pants where those dogs leapt on me after stepping on their own faeces...Man, I stink...really... =(
