SPCA...

Thought I'd give you guys as insight to the life in SPCA. Oh ya, we'll be having a Jumble Sale on the 29th, would be nice if you guys can come help out, or justcome to buy stuff, etc...

If you all wanna get a dog/cat, remember to think about the animals in SPCA a...(PS: Kimberly's going on the 29th, and she is planning on adopting a dog there...)

So anyway, Staurday...another full day at SPCA...Tiring, yes, but no doubt, one of the best agendas of my weekly schedule.

Usually I get to take the big dogs out for a romp when Ee Lynn's around, cos she's more experienced in handling the dogs than I am. In addition, we walk them along the main road, so there's always a danger of the dogs dashing into the flow of traffic. As Ee Lynn said she would come on Sunday instead, instead of taking the kennel-housed big dogs out, I took the smaller dogs caged behind the office for short walks outside.

SPCA is full to the brim, though. Even some of the D kennels house FOUR dogs in one! It didn't help that there was only 1 dog adoption today, though plenty of cats were rehomed. This led to some of the puppies being put down again..that dreaded pink liquid..

Makes me wonder, how can I become a vet if I can't imagine myself doing euthanasia...

Anyway, I managed to snap some pictures of the dogs, though. This is just to highlight the plight of the animals there, and maybe it'll motivate you fellows to give them a second shot at life?
Imprisonment? They don't deserve this. Why are people so irresponsible???
Please...Give me a home...A second chance...
Mom and pups. The harsh reality is, these young, nursing pups have to sleep on the cold concrete...Not a warm, cozy basket...They get wet often, and this is not a condusive environment for puppies this young...
The amount of animals abandoned far outnumber the ones adopted. SPCA is over-crowded, and some are forced to be euthanised. Give them a chance. How different are they from the puppy in the pet shop that costs 5 times more...

Cappucino: One of my personal favourites when I first started out. Reminds me of the first day I went dog-walking with Ee Lynn, and he fell into the drain. A strong, active fellow yet is an angel to walk and bathe.
Tian Tian: Came in timid, but is now the king of the Double Decker area. Admittedly, a little mad, but does not pass up a chance to get a cuddle from the SPCA staff. Caution must be exercised around him, though.=P
Sandy: The first SPCA dog I was given the privilege to name. Sweet little fellow...

Loads of dogs pics I really want to upload, but Blogger's kinda faulty today...Aihz...Oh well, some other time then...
